PostSubject: Gran Rey Ceros are NEVER sneaky.... (COMPLETE)   Wed Mar 28, 2012 4:13 am

Heikido stood in the training room panting heavily. His old Zanpakuto lay propped against a wall and he held his new one in both hands, concentrating on it. So much power... He still wasn't used to it... Wasn't used to what it meant to be as powerful as an espada... He remembered the days when he wandered the wastes feeling like a force of nature itself. It felt foolish now. He'd been like a child with a knife...

Now... He looked at his hand before dragging the sword along it. Blood dripped onto the floor. He winced. It was always the little wounds that caused the most pain... He held his hand out and gathered energy, trying his best to suppress his reiatsu. The training rooms had some suppression so people could practice without alarming the entire castle, but what he was practicing... He began to form a Gran Rey Cero in his hand, just prepared to fire it before... stopping... letting it dissipate.

If he fired one, even in this room, everyone would sense it... It might also destroy the room... But if he simply charged it, readied it to fire and dissipated it, he could practice without anyone knowing. He didn't honestly know what would become of him... He'd murdered an Espada. Even if the first DID look kindly on that sort of thing, the 7th MUST have had friends who would want revenge... His life could very well end soon...

Yet he had no intention of dying. He had no intention of tearing apart Las Noches either. No... that would cause far too much trouble... He had no intention of dying but he had no intention of killing any more espada... If they found him out... If they came for him, he'd fight his way out and make a break for it as best as he could without harming anyone else TOO severely... For now he would just prepare for when the time came.

Hissori was not near the training facility, however he was greatly sensitive to reiatsu and he could feel the reiatsu coming from the facility now. That spike..... He easily recognised the way the reiatsu was forming before it dissipated but the reiatsu itself was not of any of the espada he knew. He sonidoed towards the facility now.

When he arrived he placed on his suppressors to hide himself completely as he entered and saw on the first floor of the facility Heikido. Polly's fraccion? His reiatsu has changed and it's far larger now. How did he manage this? For now he watched from a distance waiting to see if he would try to charge another gran rey cero, just to confirm it.

He looked up from his concentration. Did... Did someone just come in? Nah... he'd have felt them... He was still surprised at the things he could feel like this... Confident in his ability to sense intruders, he returned to his training, taking a deep breath... One more....he clutched his fingers into the cut on his hand to force it to bleed again before holding his hand out. He took a deep breath.... Exhaled, and gathered power. Coming a little quicker this time then before (That's what she said), the GRC began to form. Just before he would have to release it, he let it dissipate, letting the reiatsu slowly fade away.

He sighed. That was probably enough for today. Wanted to play it safe... He walked back over to the sword shell, picking up. He needed to make some modification to this thing to pull it off without cutting himself... He slid the sleeker zanpakuto inside of the older katana and his spiritual pressure noticeably dropped. He groaned. That STILL felt fucking awful. He just felt... weaker, slower...like someone had filled his veins with sand....

His suspicions were confirmed when he saw the unmistakable cero form in heikido's hand. So how did he hide his power until now? He watched as Heikido slipped the zanpakuto he had into another sword and his reiatsu fell to the size he knew it at... fraccion level. That explains it then, so why did he hide his power? It seemed a bit strange. though after a bit of thinking he realised the GRC he was charging was quite unstable, was he not used to using the technique? So many questions to have answered. Hissori decided to let his presence be known, he took off both of the suppressors and began approaching Heikido.

Suddenly the first espada himself popped up less then a few dozen yards away... in this room in fact. He turned and spotted him. SHIT. He fumbled with his Zanpakuto trying to draw his new one out, but slit his fingertips a little on the edge and dropped it. He needed a cover at the base of that thing damn it. How long had he Hissori there? He didn't approach, he just popped up, so he was obviously suppressing his power just like had in the desert when they met. Turning to face the First Espada, he froze in place before forcibly easing up. "You... startled me..." he said, trying to regulate his breathing. Did he know? Was he going to try and fool him? No... If he brought it up, Heikido would be direct. Not like he could outrun him...

Hissori looked at the panicked Heikido and watched as he cut himself trying to draw his sword out from within the other sword. he watched the sword fall to the ground and looked ack up at Heikido. "So you are the one who defended yourself against Nessaj? how long have you been that strong Heikido? You might have had a chance against sarah if you didn't hide it." He didnt show any sigs of being upset, he wasn't anyway. He let out a sigh. "It's not a loss I can say I enjoy.... but knowing Nessaj you weren't expecting to kill an espada were you?"

His blood ran cold as Hissori began asking him questions. However as he went on, he relaxed. Hell.. he almost began to laugh. When he mentioned Sarah, he did. He picked up his Zanpakuto and sheathed it before walking over to the First espada. "In all truth? I wasn't expecting to be ABLE to kill an espada. I have had this level of power since... roughly fifteen minutes before I encountered Nessaj... He wished to fight and seemed out for my life... Or at least enough of my blood that it made no difference." he said with a shrug. "Things became close. I saw an opening... both literally and metaphorically." he said, knowing Hissori had seen the corpse. "And well... I had not mastered the Gran Rey Cero at the time... I still have not MASTERED it, I suppose. But it seemed that when fired from inside of him, it made little difference."

He shook his head. "It seems like you don't hold me accountable, so I won't make a show of throwing myself at your mercy when it was, in fact, self defense but... Neither would I blame you if you felt the need to deliver any form of fitting punishment on me, including my death." He was not incredibly worried, since it seemed like Hissori understood the situation, but if the first DID decide to execute him here, he couldn't exactly do much to stop it.

Hissori was silent for a second before letting out a few laughs. "That Nessaj was going to get himself killed one day. Well that's actually impressive how you managed that, Why hold you accountable? fifteen minutes huh? Well you won't really master it the way you were trying to just now. I would offer to take you to the lower level but you seem too tired to go on." he had no reason at all to punish him, Nessaj was acting on his own and there wasn't really a point in punishing someone who was just trying to survive against that battle addict. "If you can master it.... well let's see if you can master it before anything else. When are you free to train on the GRC?"

Even though he didn't expect to die here, he was visibly relaxed by the First Espada's lack of anger. "Well... I didn't expect to be off the hook so easily." he said, still a little shocked. "And quite the contrary. I'd be delighted to continue training right now. Nobody ever learned something well by taking it easy." He paused. "And if we're going to have to walk to the lower level, it will give me a few minutes to get some energy back anyway."

Hissori was glad to hear this. "Good. You'll need those few minutes." He gestured him to follow as hissori took him over to a mostly concealed door to an elevator. "It's quite a bit underneath this floor as we needed to be safe. The lower floor is meant for arrancar on par with espada as well as the espada themselves of course. Even my gran rey cero isn't enough to do any damage down there so you'll be free to fire it off." Once they were both inside he pressed a switch and the elevator began it's lengthy descent to the lower floor of the training facility. "Off the hook... for self defense? Nessaj would attack anything and everything he deemed worthy to fight him. It was going to get him killed one day..... I'm actually glad it was you who killed him." Otherwise it could have been one of those things.

Huh. A hidden elevator. How interesting. "Well.. That would have been useful... I was not... entirely aware... how the news of Nessaj's death would be taken. While I had no intention of fighting Las Noches or the espada, I didn't wish to die because that maniac was out for blood either. I was trying to train my new abilities in secret so I could escape if necessary." he said before sighing in relief. "Which it fortunately was not."

"I can understand he was still an espada so it still meant you could have been framed as a traitor to Las Noches." The elevator finally came to a stop after a few minutes and opened to show a massive area. "Well let's get started on training that gran rey cero of yours." Hissori allowed heikido to exit first. "You can come down here whenever you need from now on in order to train." Once heikido had stepped out he followed. "Let me demonstrate the strength of these walls for you. With that he created a small blade fragment out of his reiatsu which he used to cut his hand and charge his own gran rey cero which he aimed up to and fired at the ceiling. There was no sign of damage at all after the smoke cleared. "Basiclly you are free to throw your strongest ability around in here."

Hrm... Interesting... Although if they could make a room that even the first espada could not destroy, one would think they would endeavor to build the castle out of it. "Well... Might as well...give it a shot then." he said, reaching down. He tilted his sheath to push down on the outer shell as he drew his new zanpakuto. The pale white blade slide out easily enough, spiking up Heikido's spiritual pressure. "All right... So then..." he took the sword to his hand and drew some blood. He gathered energy, forming the blue mass of reiatsu before pointing it ... and... fire... The energy erupted down the training room. It was certainly more of a cero then the explosion he'd managed before, but it was still a little unfocused.

Hissori watched as the cero did not hold up it's shape entirely, still unable to remain concentrated and thus retain it's massive power. "Hmm." he was trying to think of any tip he could give to Heikido. "It definitely needs work however it has the power of a real gran rey cero yet it's spreading out a bit. I don't think there is anything I can say to help aside from taking some more time to charge it, you might be firing too early seeing how you are fairly new to using the attack."

Hrm... too early? Maybe.. but wasn't a Gran Rey Cero supposed to be fast? Taking longer to charge seemed counter-intuitive... If the energy gathered faster it might work but energy only gathered so fast... right? Hrm... Did it? It always had before but... He held out his hand and drew energy, before taking a slow breath and trying to draw more. Like adjusting a tap, the energy drew in faster before he suddenly realized he either needed to fire it or it might take his arm off. Flinging his arm out, he released a Gran Rey at the wall. "Hrm... I... still have not adjusted to such a rapid change in strength. I was not aware you could adjust the speed in which your reiatsu gathers so well at this level of ability..."

"Well you are still new to being so strong. You need to get used to controlling your new reiatsu level and ability to use it. Once you are used to that the gran rey cero should be quite simple. Just don't pass out from using up too much of your own blood in one training session." Hissori could be seen slightly smiling. "Heikido if you were given the opportunity to become an espada would you take it?" this would give away his intentions, not that they were well hidden to begin with.

Hrm.. It wouldn't take long to master it now that he'd figured that out. "Well... Thank you First Espada... If you hadn't found me down here, I'd be practicing that for weeks fruitlessly..." he also might have snuck out of Las Noches at some point. So everything turned out for the - "Excuse me?" Hrm... He... well... huh. "I..I suppose I would... yes..." He'd expected to be executed when this conversation began. The idea of getting a promotion had never occurred to him.

Hissori let out a small laugh. "Then when you master gran rey cero we'll see if you're worth Nessaj's spot. Not too different from how it normally works around here but I'd rather not just promote you on the spot." He was glad that he could get someone who wasn't so battle prone to be an espada, it took away the worry that they would spontaneously end up dead as is what happened to Nessaj. "Do your best and make it impressive and if you're ready to accept the spot by the time you do you should think about where you want me to put your number.:

Hrm.. when he mastered it? "Well... Your liege.." he said, his voice lacking the usual hint of sarcasm. "Not to pry but exactly how might I go about being tested for the position of 7th espada anyway?" he asked, a little curious. Hrm... his number? Well... Somewhere he could hide it obviously...

Out of nowhere a red flash appeared, quickly making tracts and rushing against Heikido in a happy hug. Rubbing her face in his chest, Apo laughed. "I see you replaced...that other guy! Good Job Heikido! I am so proud of you." Her hug wasn't super strong, rather loose by her standards.

"So Hissa, when do I get to throw a party for him?"

He almost stumbled back when the flash of red suddenly nuzzled itself against him at high speed. He took a step back before bracing however. He still remembered the day on the boat. Hehh... "Ah.. M...hrm.. No I suppose until Hissori makes up his mind I DO still refer to you as Master Apollymi. Even if only for a few more times." he said, returning the hug, giving her an affectionate squeeze. Hrm. Even the segunda's usually life crushing hugs were.... well... still life crushing... but LESS so.

"Remember what I said about not calling me Master? It makes me feel all...icky." Apo looked away and pouted, as it was her way to keep memories at bay. Master and Mistress left bad tastes in her mouth. Still, Hei returning a hug was cause for celebration. Normally he fell over. "Honestly, you deserve it though. You were always too good to be my fraccion. It was a waste of your powers. Even for the short time." She laughed a bit. Hissa seemed deep in thought about how to proceed so she let him. Once he was done he'd get his usual huggles too.

He frowned. Hrm... She'd never shown such a serious reaction to the word... Maybe there was something more there? He would not press her on it, but he couldn't help but be curious. "Please, Apo.." he said, deciding to be nice and use her preferred nickname to make up for the master bit. "I had to be as powerful as I could be to be your fraccion. Otherwise, you would've wound up wrecking Steinn's boat somewhere... and it doesn't even sail..." he said with a little smirk.

"Hey it will too sail! Once we can figure out how to tap into my reiatsu to power a massive fan type thing. Thats the only thing holding us back. I promised Stienn his boat would work. I don't go back on those." Apo gave a playful smile before leaning up and planting a quick kiss on Hei's lips. "Congrats kiss~ Hissa said I should stop running, so I suppose that means I should be freer with my kisses too. He seemed to like them." She looked somewhat thoughtful.

"Now that you are going to be an Espada, I suppose I should stop hanging off you and treat you with proper respect." Apo laughed and let go of Hei stepping back. "No more molesting you either... Man my fraccions will be so sad. Poor Stienn."

He smiled, a rare enough sight without it being a smirk. "No... No you certainly do not." he said in regards to her stance on promises. He was a little surprised when she kissed him all of a sudden. "Hm. Should've become espada sooner." he said with a playful smirk. Hrm... I bet he did, Heikido thought, glancing at the first espada. Well, if she was happier it was for the best.

"Well..." hrm... He couldn't help but feel like there was something appropriate to say at this point. He thought it over before finally speaking, "Well, I'm not your fraccion but we're... I suppose..." Acquaintances? He doubted she would be in high spirits if he made that word choice. "Friends. Yes... We'll be friends anyway, right?"
