Saskia briskly walked up the steps to the Captain's house office... Hrm... What was even the protocol here? Does she just come inside like an office, or like... ring the doorbell like a house.... Hrm... She stood outside of the door contemplating that for probably too long before eventually deciding to play it safe. She knocked on the door and quickly fixed up her uniform, making sure she was presentable for her new captain. She felt a ball of dread in her stomach when she thought about the fact that the captain could turn her away as her VC if the meeting went too badly.

Kira came rushing to the door, bottle of amaretto in one hand, bar of chocolate candy in the other. She figured it would just be one of the other officers coming to give her more paperwork. They were all aware of her candy and alcohol consumption so she never bothered to look professional around them. She was quite surprised to see this other girl looking as great as if she were going on a date. Perfect clothes, perfect hair, perfect face. In comparison, Kira was a mess with her loose kimono, unwashed hair, and the face of a drunk.

"Um, hello," she said, attempting to fix her loose kimono and failing miserably since her hands were occupied. "I don't think I recognize you. What division are you from? Here to give me a report, I guess. Sorry for looking like a slob. Today's been one of those days, if you know what I mean."

She stood there, a little baffled at the mess of a woman before her. Th..THIS was her new captain? She smiled, hiding her sudden dread. Oh lord, what had she gotten herself into? It was probably too late to go work for captain boobs. "Uh.. No.. Captain Ketsuken. My name is Saskia Taraka, and I'm in Squad 2. I'm reporting for duty as your newly appointed Vice Captain." she said professionally, before slowing. "Ah.. Th..That is if you approve, sir...ma'am...sirmam." she mumbled. Eff, she was not sure which of those to ever use. She stood up straight and saluted, not really sure what to make of the situation at the moment

"Oh excellent!" Kira said as she opened the door wider and pushed the woman further inside. "I've been needing a vice captain for a while now. Glad they finally decided to give me one. Hope you're as responsible as you look. You any decent at paperwork? Here, sit down."

Kira tapped a chair that was across from her desk, then went and sat at her own chair and put her feet up on the desk. She sat at an angle so she could still see the girl. "I'm not usually this unprofessional... aw, who am I kidding. Yes I am. Also when I laugh, I usually sound like a maniac. Don't get surprised by it, Saskia. As for the address... huh... sirmam is a new one. Kinda funny. I don't usually bother with formalities so just call me your captain and we'll be fine."

She hurried inside as the captain ushered her in. "Oh.. Okay." she said, "Um. Th.. I.. well I'm.. uh, okay." she said, before sitting. She sat up dilligently in her seat as the captain moved around to sit. "Well, I'm decent at paperwork. Uh.. I could.. try to take care of it." she said. That sounded wishywashy. Come on, Saski don't blow your chance for a promotion. "I'm a quick learner though!" she added enthusiastically.

Her eyes followed the captain's feet as they kicked up on the table before hesitating on her legs for a moment. She quickly snapped them back to the Captain's "Mmk. Unprofessional, cackles, and call you Captain Ketsuken." she said with a nod. She smiled, relieved as it sounded like she had the captain's approval. "So I can be your Vice Captain?" She said with a grin, unable to restrain her excitement at finally bagging a promotion, making a few little claps before putting her hands back down. "And as my first act as Vice Captain... Um.. Do you need help straightening up around here?" she asked cautiously.

"Hmm, I don't know if I have much choice in the matter," she said then took a drink from her bottle. "If administration put you in the position, I'd have to really hate you to argue back. Tell ya what, you show me how good you are at doing paperwork and I won't complain."

Kira reached for a stack of papers on the desk. "First thing first is just organizing all of it. See these seals? There are three of them, one for each branch of our division. This one is Assassination, this one's Scouting, this one's Law Enforcement. I like them in different stacks but of course when my officers bring them in, they just pile on top of one another. Anyway, point is... you gotta read these documents and figure out which ones are really worth my time and which ones I should sign off on. Everything else is yours to decide whether it should be signed or not. Like, see all these scouting requests? Sometimes our fellow squad members think it'd be a good idea to scout in some particular area, when in fact all they're scouting for is booze is whores. You can sign negative on those. As for reports... if they look important, I'll take them. Generally anything from "Assassination" is important. Naturally, some things will require a captain's signature. Usually things from other squads. Obviously, I'll need to read those. Ehh, it might be a bit hard at first but you'll get the hang of it. Once you get a feel for what I deem important and what I don't, you'll fit right in."

She set her bottle back on the table. "If that's too much for now, then straightening up would be all right. The room is kinda... messy." Kira hadn't cleaned in ages. Empty alcohol bottles and candy wrappers littered the floor, dust was collecting in corners, and the dishes in the kitchen hadn't been cleaned in a week. But this girl was supposed to be her VC, not her personal maid. Surely she wouldn't agree to do any of that stuff.

Saskia's eye followed the bottle and she frowned a little, although it wasn't that her captain was drinking that bothered her so much. More just an innate fear of alcohol. And then Kira produced that MOUNTAIN of papers. "Oh gosh." she startled before doing her best to listen to Kira's very long VERY intricate explanation of what to do. She thought about getting out a pencil to write it all down but then she'd just lose her place. Instead she just tried to nod and keep up. As Kira continued, Saskia started nodding a little slower, her eyes glazing over.

And then finally she said the magic words "If that's too much for now." YES, YES IT WAS. She looked around the room. "N..No.. It'll be fine... I mean.. all that paperwork.. Pfft. That'll be EASY." she said, poker facing the hell out of the confident smile. "I'll.. do the hard work and straighten this room first." she said, standing up and looking at some wrappers before bending down to start collecting them. "Have this place nice in no time." Oh GOD she didn't want to do that paperwork.

Kira smiled and leaned back in her chair with her hands behind her head. She wanted to scold the girl for going the maid route, but on second thought... the room WAS a pigsty.

"Well, when you're done with that, the easy paperwork will be waiting for you. In the mean time, I should start getting to work as well. I have some reports and orders to send out."

She smiled. "Yeah. I'll clean up and be out of your hair in no time at all!" she said with a little salute before putting some wrappers in the garbage. She glanced at the captain, leaving her to work before quietly trashing some more discarded papers. She looked around, before moving over to some shelves and stretching up trying to reach them, noticing some empty booze up there. Hrm.. could not reach... She looked back at the captain. Must not disturb. She reached down and pulled over a box before getting on top of it and stretching up to grab the bottles. Suddenly the box tipped and she dropped to the floor with a squeak. She turned slowly, face red to see if she'd disrupted Captain Ketsuken.

Moving on, she noticed some garbage behind the captain's desk and quietly shuffled across the room, imagining herself as MUCH stealthier then she was, trying to squeeze behind her office chair to reach it. She accidentally bumped her on the way back out and startled. "Sorry!" she said, putting the trash in the can, before pausing... hrm... Gasp... UNDER THE DESK... It was a MOUNTAIN of discarded booze. "Um..." she paused. "Hrm.."... "Ah.." she sighed before eventually grabbing Kira's chair and sliding it back. "Sorry!" she said before getting down and crawling under the desk. "Just be a sec!" she said, shovelling out booze bottles.

When Saskia fell to the floor, Kira resisted laughing at the poor girl. Of course there was also a hint of annoyance on the captain's face. This was the girl administration promoted to be the vice captain of the Special Ops squad? Was this a prank?

But... the girl was cleaning up the place, so Kira let her continue, even if it was just a prank.

Her mild annoyance turned to honest anger when the girl decided to just slide her chair away.

"Okay Saskia, dear," Kira said as she stood up. "How about you just clean up over there." She points to the other end of the room. "And this side can just stay messy. Or you could, you know, get to work on that easy paperwork. Oh, who am I kidding. Here you are, a brand new vice captain! You probably want to show me your amazing skills on the field, don't you? Surely you must be incredibly sneaky in order to have gotten this high in the ranks..."

Especially without me noticing. Damn maybe she IS good at this.

"I could... hmmm... I might have a mission for you to prove your skills. Of course, I'd be perfectly fine with your doing the paperwork as well."

She looked up, confused with an innocent expression on her face. "Um..." She mumbled before quickly standing up. Great. GOOD JOB, SASKI. Piss off the captain in the first ten minutes! New! World! Record! Her face turned a little red as she stood there while the captain talked down to her. Not that she wasn't right to. She... She WAS sneaky... just... not when she wasn't trying to be...

She looked up suddenly. Ah. A mission? Yes! That would help her restore the captain's faith in her, at least a little. She stood up straight and saluted. "Yes ma'am!" she said. "I'd love a chance to prove I'm er... well... more skilled at this then I've just demonstrated..." she said sheepishly, visibly sinking a little, but staying in salute. "Um... ah... an-anything but the paperwork." she said, unable to help but smile sheepishly.

Well the girl had enthusiasm... though she may have been trying too hard. Then again, she had messed up already, so no doubt she knew this was her last chance.

"Okay listen. Somewhere in the Squad 2 grounds, I keep a secret safe. Your job if you chose to accept it is to find this safe, open it through any means necessary, and bring its contents back to this room. I'll give you a ten minute head start, but after that, I'll start patrolling the area. If I catch you, then you lose. I won't necessarily stay in the area with the safe, of course. I'll make it fair for you. Just so you know, it's not in this room."

She blinked a few times. Secret safe? Oh shit! How the hell was she supposed to... ugh. Uh... she sweat a little, nervously. "Um.. Y.. Yes ma'am." She said, already looking around the room when she said that. "Ah.. Y-yes ma'am!" She said nodding, before turning and heading for the door. Waaait... She turned and headed back into the house, dashing through it. She had ten minutes to search this place and get out. First logical choice was the bed room. She darted around checking places, until she found the room. AHA!

She stepped into the room and stood there for a second. This.. this was as bad as the office. She shuffled into the mess and began looking around. Uh.. shit.. cabinet? None.. Drawer? She didn't say how BIG the safe was... Ummm.. she pulled the drawer open. Oh... underwear. Her face turned red and she shoved the drawer shut. Um... o-okay... well... Other drawer? She pulled it open... Oh.. what the shit... There was... handcuffs and a... a... Did the captain really need that? She seemed pretty enough to get guys... Um.. kay...

Her face red, she looked around. Aha.. Under the bed? She walked over and looked. Ugh. Nothing but beer bottles. She reached through the bottles and felt something. Hm? She pulled it out and looked at the thing. It didn't take her long to recognize it but it certainly took her enough time to register it. Oh god... this was a... well... Uhhh... Her face turned bright red as she blanked out entirely for a moment.

Kira watched the seconds tick down on her clock. When the ten minutes were up, she got up and stretched, making sure to drag this out. She honestly wanted Saskia to win, so she decided to take her time in moving up to her room. If the girl was still up there, she would have two options when she heard Kira's footsteps on the stairs. She could escape through the window above her bed's headboard, or she could possibly hide in a cabinet or under the bed. Hah, wouldn't that be funny. The captain grinned, wondering what kind of trauma the girl was going through.

Of course if the girl DIDN'T run or hide when she heard Kira coming (or if she didn't hear Kira at all) then that would be the end of the game and there's no way the captain could accept such a weak girl as her VC.

She was still in a little bit of a coma from her discovery when she heard steps coming up the stairs. Oh shit! She looked at the thing and dropped it, the... device... landing on the bed. Oh shit she should hide that. Uhhh, but the captain sounded like she was close. She bit her lip for a second as she weighed all her options. She could go out the window. But was that safe?

Then she thought about having to face Kira... while she was still anywhere within half a mile of that thing... welllllll she started to think, before the rest of her brain kicked in and she immediately turned and knocked the window open, hurling herself out of it, before skittering off down the alley. Ooookay... Where to next? Uh... shitshitshit... maybe the meeting room? Sounded good...

Kira put her ear up to her door. She heard Saskia landing outside the window. Well she'd gotten out at least, but it wasn't the stealthiest escape. If Kira were an enemy, she would have already opened the door and given chase.

She walked slowly, wanting to give the girl another advantage. Or to prolong her game. This was more fun than doing paperwork at least.

Kira grinned in sick satisfaction when she saw that the girl had done a decent search of her room. Of course she could have put it away properly.

Well, time to start stalking her properly now. The captain decided to patrol the squad grounds in a fairly predictable, organized manner. That way if Saskia was being smart and watching from afar, she could determine the path Kira would take.

Instead of dropping out of the window, she went back downstairs and left through the front door. She decided to leave her window open, though. If Saskia found the safe and couldn't open it by force or clever lockpicking, she could always look for the key which was kept in Kira's bedroom.

She darted around Squad 2 like a madwoman for a moment before she caught sight of the captain prowling around. Red faced, she quickly hid. She was more motivated then ever to avoid the captain. Hell at this point, she was worried less about being kicked out of the Vice Captain chair and more about having to talk to the captain. Ugh.. That.. that THING.... Was so... so....

And suddenly, Saskia was lost in thought for a moment. She shook her head violently. No no no. FOCUS, damn it. Okay... She watched the captain head off, before stealthily moving behind her, suppressing her reiatsu. Moving quietly would be simple if she used her zanpakuto but she didn't trust the captain not to detect the signature. So she snuck the old fashioned way towards the meeting room, cracking the window open and slipping inside. Once inside, she began rooting through the room, checking under every nook and cranny while she listened for the captain outside.

Kira stuck to the predictable path so that Saskia could guess about how long it would take her to reach any specific point. She went into the barracks and waved hello to the junior members of the squad. They snapped to attention when she walked in, but she told them to relax.

"Just doing an unscheduled check-up. Everything looks fine!" To be fair, the barracks looked awful, with as much trash as her own office. But she couldn't really bitch to them when her own room was just as messy. She wouldn't gain any respect being a hypocrite.

"By the way... anyone here have any paper?"

The men looked at one another in confusion, but one eventually found a piece of paper and handed it to her.

"I'll need a pen or pencil too, silly." That was quickly produced and in her hand as well.

She ripped the paper in half, then scribbled a half-assed map of the squad 2 grounds with an X over a spot in the gardens on one paper. The other paper was slipped into her garments for later.

"Hold onto this," she said as she handed the paper back to one of her goons. "It's a map, but there's no treasure there so I don't want anyone going after it. On the other hand, if a girl named Saskia comes in asking about it, I want you to give her this map. Oh, and I'll give you back your pen later."

After leaving the men, Kira continued on her usual path, which would take her into the gardens in just a short time. In her head, she was brewing a prank for Saskia. The safe wasn't in the garden. It was just going to be a red herring. But at least it might be amusing to watch her squirm. She fingered the other strip of paper in her hand, wondering what kind of note she should write.

Saskia finished checking the meeting room. Damn it... nothing... Ugh.. She snuck over to the door and pressed her back to it. She peeked out of the opening before turning and shunpoing across the way into some other buildings. Hrm.. next would be... the barracks? Yes. Made sense. She climbed her way to the rooftops and began darting across them, staying low to the ground, before she made her way to the barracks.

"Holy shit guys, a real treasure map!" Someone inside shouted excitedly.
"Didn't you hear the captain? We're not supposed to go after that.."
"Yeah, it's for Saskia."
"Ehhh, why would I give it to her? I want the treasure!"
"Dingus! There isn't-"

They were cut off as Saskia pulled herself to the ledge and swung down, hanging from it. With a grunt, she lifted her body enough to curl her feet in and swing through one of the open windows, landing quietly. "Is that mine?" she asked, with a bit of a smirk on her face. She was usually worried by crowds but this was just so funny.

They all turned and gasped, frozen with surprise. She darted forward and grabbed the map. "Thanks guys!" She said cheerily, before ducking outside and stealthing her way off. She looked at the map. Well this was.... crudely drawn... definitely the gardens though. She shunpo'd off to the location and began searching for the X.

While the safe was not located at the X, Kira hadn't put the X on any random spot. No, the location was quite intentional.

That was where she knew one squad member kept his porn magazines. From what she knew of the guy, he wasn't exactly into vanilla shit either. Most likely his magazines would be very... fetishy.

It was a subtle place and the only reason Kira even knew about it was because she'd heard her other goons whispering about it. At a certain place in the garden, there's a rock which can be moved. Looking at the bottom, one might realize that there's a cover which can be removed. The rock itself is hollow.

At the rock, Kira took out the other piece of paper and wrote: "You've fallen for the trap. You would already be dead. Oh, and these aren't mine in case you're curious." Then slid the piece of paper into the hollow part of the rock. She put the cover back over, and slid the rock back into place. She then darted up a nearby tree in hopes of being able to watch Saskia's reaction from above.

Saskia looked around the garden, darting from place to place checking locations. Hrm.. not here... not there either.. damn it! She eventually moved over to a cluster of rocks, booting them to the side. Hrm.. That rock seemed... light, when she kicked it... It also made an odd noise... She slowly crouched down and picked it up. What? It was... hollow or SOMETHING... She rolled it over. Gasp! It opened on the bottom! This was it! The safe! She opened it up and... and...

Oh god... this was... She looked at the magazines before one fell out, open. On the page was... Oh.. Oh dear.. Was this... Was this what the captain looked at? Her face turned bright red before she saw the note. Reading it, she suddenly felt herself hit a new level of embarassment. Oh god. Of course it wasn't the captain's. She felt stupid now.. Hell, that stuff in her room probably wasn't hers. Just there to throw her off. It seemed like the perfect thing to test her focus on the mission. Yes... Bluh... Okay then... hrm... The training hall? Only notable place she could think of.

Darting off, she ducked through some back alleys and made her way off towards the training hall. She looked around before darting in a window.

Kira grinned like a maniac the entire time she watched Saskia with the porn collection. Moments like this made it worth waking up in the morning. One mind scarred for life = one successful day.

The girl was going in the right direction. Kira would stick to her original plan of patrol for now, but she might arrive at the training hall a bit earlier to check on Saskia's progress.

Surely she'd never notice the inconspicuous floor tile in the back of the men's locker room.

She finally made her way to the training hall, and ducked into some bushes. She peeked out and glanced back and forth. All right... safe enough. She went and scrambled up a wall and through a window. Man, was she getting good at those window entrances. Great. Training hall... Now where... the hell... would a safe be... Hrm... most of the hall was empty... not a lot of hiding places... maybe... She dropped to the floor. Huh... Floors looked smooth. None really looked like they'd been torn up recently.

Quickly rising to her feet, she headed into the back. Hrm... Noise coming from the men's locker room... Hrm.. Just some of the guys.... well... wait a tic... She crept over to the door. Inside were voices. She twirled around. "Aha!" she shouted. Several men suddenly turned with a gasp, trying to cover themselves.

"S-S-Sakia? What are you doing?"
"This is the men's locker room!"
"Since when do YOU try to get in here?"
"Wait you mean-"
"You didn't know that?"
"HAH! AWESOME!"

"Heeyyy! Shut it!" She said, kicking a locker. "Now listen. You guys've been here for how long?" She asked, not angry persay... just forceful.

"Uhh... an hour or two."

"What.. What have you been doing for two hours?" she asked, incredulous. Suddenly changing her mind. "Wait no.. I don't WANT to know. Did captain Ketsuken come in here?" she asked, taking a few steps forward.

Many of the men in the room went... dark in expression. "Yes... Yes she did." they said with... soulless faces. "She... she put something in that corner and then she-"

"Oookay, I don't want to hear the rest." she said, walking over to the corner. She kicked around finding the loose tile. Bingo! She leaned down and pried the tile up. Aaaand huzzah! A safe! She tugged it out of the ground... now.... how the hell did she open it?

Kira didn't think Saskia would rush into the men's locker room so quickly. She assumed the girl was a prude who didn't want to be seen in such an embarrassing place.

So continued her leisurely stroll, unaware that the girl had already found the safe. She pondered how she'd open the safe when she found it. Brute force? The girl didn't strike Kira as a powerhouse, but she might have some kidou or zanpakuto power she was unaware of. Maybe she had lockpicking skill, or could convince someone else to lockpick it for her. Or maybe she'd think of looking for the key... hidden inside the drawer in Kira's room where she kept some of her sex toys.

She picked up the safe. Damn it.. how the hell did she get this thing open? She picked it up and swung it against a wall.. Well... now she'd have to fix a hole in the wall. Awesome. She looked up at the men still hanging around. "Hey. Uhh... where would I even find the key for this? I assumed it'd be open." They all looked at each other, still trying to cover themselves.

"Uhh... Maybe on her?" one answer. No, that couldn't be it... it'd be too difficult for her to get.
"Maybe in her room?"

Oh... shit... that sounded... plausible.... She didn't want to go back there... wellllll- DAMN IT, SASKI, FOCUS! She stood up and walked past the men. "Hey thanks a lot boys." she said looking at one with one eye open and a smirk "Don't get too cozy in here." she said, swinging her hand down to nut tap him on her way out before running away laughing.

She darted back along the alleyways to Kira's house-office. Looking around, she looked up at the bedroom... Hrm.... She climbed up the adjacent building and took a running jump into the bedroom. Landing with a tumble, she looked around the room. Still a mess.... and those... THINGS were still out... Damn it. Gotta search the room... She tore around the place kicking up things laying around, before hitting the drawers. Opting not to dig around in them, she instead pulled each drawer out putting it on the ground.

And there was the key.... in a pile of ... well.... Well hell, there were some things here Saskia wasn't even sure what they were for... And a LOT of bondage gear... She only briefly tried to envision just what the hell all of that shit would work together like before realizing it was a bad road to think down right now.
