"Well, that could've gone better." said Onihime aloud to no one, as she sighed and took a seat at her desk. The 'Tea Party' was a complete loss, and she felt Kano would never grow to accept her. Giving out another sigh, the Demoness returned to her paper work, only to stop again as she saw an acceptance letter. 'A new Vice Captain?' she thought to herself.

Opening the letter, she read it's contents. "Ryūketsu Yasuzume." She said his name aloud. She'll have to meet with him before simply accepting him as her Vice Captain. Not everyone is cut out for this line of work.

Getting up from her desk, she walks to her open window where a Hell Butterfly sat on a perch. Extending a hand, the Hell Butterfly fluttered over and landed on her finger. Speaking clearly, she gave a message for this Ryūketsu Yasuzume, to meet her in her office. Once finished, the Hell Butterfly fluttered out the window to deliver it's message.

The butterfly would not have far to go, merely flitting out of the window and a few buildings down before arriving at the recipient, delivering its message to the silent man before removing itself to presumably return to its post, or to the roosts in the third division. Ryū closes his eyes for some few minutes, slowly compressing his reiatsu into a small ball within his sternum, suppressing it from the senses of those around him. He was to report immediately, huh? Well then... he would see if he would follow this person now, then.

Training takes over and he begins to run, not using shunpo due to its reliance on the use of reiatsu, and thus giving away ones presence to those able to sense such things. His silver eye shifts slightly, becoming sensitive to infrared light, allowing to see heat signatures through walls. The captain was brightest, in her office, alone. Perfect. He moves like a shadow, his footfalls light as he makes his way to her abode, pausing just a short distance away, hidden upon the rooftop. Reaching the office proper would be quite a task, due to the sheer number of people watching... luckily by now it would be nearing night, and so he would be able to sneak in somewhat easier than in the daylight. He watches for now, eyes following the patterns of those who walk outside, finding blind spots before moving an inch forward, at which point he would make his way up the walls and across, narrowly avoiding notice at some times, before reaching the manor proper and beginning to climb, making his way up the sheer face of the keep, finding the window of that office, and waiting for her to be looking the other way. If she detects him, he will be impressed, and have a great deal of respect for her, if not... then we shall see.

The Demoness sat in her office, doing her paperwork as she awaited the arrival of her new Vice Captain. It was second nature for her to keep track of any significant reiatsu withing her Division grounds, so when she felt one suddenly suppress itself greatly she took notice. It was difficult, tracking such a faint reiatsu but she could sense it getting closer as the person ran in the direction of her office.

She smiled as she felt the reiatsu unmoving as the person waited someplace nearby, it stayed that way for awhile. Until finally it moved once more, as the person made their way towards her window.

"How long are you going to hide out there, Yasuzume-San?" she asked, looking towards her window.

Then he was inside, an easy maneuver bringing him through the window and into a short bow, eyes lidded, movements fluid from one position to another. "Not long, Xiana-Taicho. I had intended to make my presence known shortly if you did not acknowledge me as you did or otherwise make it clear that you could tell that I was present. You may want to increase your patrols, I would expect more from the abode of a Taicho." This is about as close to joking as he gets, and to be honest it's hard to tell if he's really joking or just making an observation. "Though I must ask, how did you come to know my exact identity?"

Returning the bow, Onihime then motioned for Ryūketsu to take a seat. Taking a glance out of her window, watching her subordinates make their rounds. Turning back towards Ryuketsu she nods and smiles. "You've got a point, I'll see to it that their numbers are doubled to increase security around the Division grounds." she said as she returned to her desk and sat down.

"As for how did I know it was you? Well, no one ever comes to visit me here, plus I had only just sent a message to you to come to my office. The likelihood of it having been someone else are pretty slim, don't you think?" she said, answering his question.

"Now, onto business. You applied for the position of Vice Captain of my Division, so I take it you know what your work will be here. So tell me, have you ever been part of an interrogation before? Do you know the limits set before us here in the 7th Division?" she asked.

His expression changes little over the length of time in which she speaks, his hands held to the side, eyes flat and focused. There is a single twitch, as if a smile is just about to form on his lips for a moment as she asks if he has experience with interrogation, but other than that, he is rather stoic through the whole ordeal.
"The Yasuzume clan were famed for their skillful and extensive knowledge of the art of interrogation and torture, and I was no exception. I first took part in assisting such at the age of five, and began solo work upon my thirteenth birthday. I was elevated to working on priority subjects within the first three years of that part of my life, and from there I gained a reputation for my ruthless application of those methods for the use of whomever had the loyalty of my clan at that time. In death I was no different, and have long used those arts both to protect myself from those who seek me harm and to gain information should I need it in the past. There is only a single person in this world or any other whom I will hesitate to do my work upon, and I highly doubt she will be needing it, given what I know about her. As for the restrictions placed on the seventh division, the nature of our employer would suggest that we are restricted from killing subjects during the application of our duties, as well as from using methods that, while effective, would be considered especially cruel, such as the execution of family members as incentive. This practice likely slows down the information which we may receive in some cases, but in the case of working for an agency such as this, it is inevitable. There are likely others that I am not privy to, but I would suppose that they will be explained to me shortly."
That was all. Long, but all. He speaks as if he was speaking about taking out the trash, with no emotion one way or another for the subject.

"Yes, you are correct in all of those restrictions. We wont threaten families, or use excessive means of torture. We're not monsters here, and torture is a secondary option reserved for use only when all other interrogation methods have failed us." said Onihime before pausing.

"However, if the case warrants it and it cant be avoided, then there is another means of getting information out of someone. By killing them. Not here in the Seireitei though. In the lower levels of our Headquarters, there is a Gate to Hell. If someone we know for a fact is withholding information, simply call upon me. I will take over and have them escorted through the Hell's Gate. In Hell, the gloves are off and we are free to do as we please with them. Killing them is only the beginning, since in Hell no one stays dead for long."

Ryū listens once more to his words, something that he had not heard before, even in what rumor he'd been able to gather about the place. The shinigami stationed here are a tight-lipped group, and he wouldn't force them to speak without good reason, them being comrades and resources that should not be wasted, and quite likely the most well-versed in methods of eluding interrogation in any case. "These restrictions seem reasonable, Xiana-Taicho, and this option is one which I did not have knowledge of until today... it seems your division keeps its secrets well. I would assume that only a few know of this?"

Onihime smiled. "Yes. It's not common knowledge that we have a Hell's Gate here. Only a select few members of this Division know of this, as well as the other Captains and Vice Captains, plus Central 46. I trust you to keep this information to yourself." she said.

Thinking for a moment, they didn't currently have anyone to interrogate. Just a lot of paperwork that needed dealt with. Finally, she looked to Ryūketsu. "In the meantime, you may set up your office as you see fit. It's located on the top floor of out Division Headquarters, next to mine. Welcome to the 7th Division, Yasuzume-Fukutaichou."

As she got up to see him out of her office, Jago's message filled her ears. 'What in the world?!' she thought, then turned to her new Vice Captain. "Gather everyone in the Division and have them set up a barrier around the grounds! I'm going to get answers!" she said, her first orders to her Vice Captain before diving out of her open window. Her wings spread taking flight, as she made her way to the 5th Division District.

He is once again silent, listening to her orders... then the message comes, and the ever so slight hint of annoyance crosses his features for the briefest of moments before it returns to that impassive mask, a mere twitch. "Yes, Taicho. I will have as much of the division put on full alert and lockdown as possible." Stepping out of the office, he would go about his business, setting things in motion which would spread the orders out to the four corners of the district, for all capable of the tasks needed to gather for them, and the others to begin preparing for the battle which would most likely come. Those who would not answer to him would first be shown his credentials, and a few would have to be coerced, but he would execute his orders to the best of his ability.
